Sometimes, drivers need to complete their deliveries in a different order than the planned route.
With our mobile app, they can now easily adjust the route on the go—perfect for handling unexpected changes!
Why do drivers need to deviate from their route?
There are many reasons why they might want to make changes:
to prioritize another delivery at the last minute
to avoid specific bridge/areas due to traffic
to adjust to traffic incidents like - accident, road closures, etc.
Drivers can choose to go to another stop on the route by tapping Go here first.

What happens when the driver taps Go here first?
re-route them to the stop of their choosing
trigger an ETA re-calculation
trigger the “On the way” customer notification, if enabled. If customers already received this message earlier in the route, they will not receive it again. See how Customer Notifications works.
update the route path on the driver app and on the dispatcher side
allow them to continue the rest of the route in the original sequence
ex. If the driver has just finished at stop 1 and chooses to go to stop 3 first, they will be re-routed to stop 3. They will then continue on the route as planned: visiting stop 2 next, followed by stops 4, 5, 6, etc.
A few things to note:
This is a new feature, so there are some limitations!
Currently, this feature does not re-optimize the rest of the route.
Changes in the route will be reflected for dispatchers on beta.routific.com, but dispatchers will not be explicitly notified of this change.
If you have feedback or want to share what you’d like to see next, please email us at support@routific.com.
