# How to make changes to your routes

Make changes on the timeline, in the route details panel, on the map or by drawing your own route

### Watch: Making changes to routes in Routific

Routific optimizes your routes, but you know your territory. Click any stop to see its order details, then make changes in four ways:

1. On the timeline

2. In the route details panel (list view)

3. On the map, including with the lasso tool

4. By drawing your route on the map

## Make changes on the timeline

Click a stop on the timeline, then drag and drop it. Move it within the same route, or drop it onto another route and Routific slots it into the best spot.

Hold **Shift** to select multiple stops and move them to another route together.

## Make changes in the route details panel

Click a route on the **map** or **timeline** to open the route details panel on the right. It lists every stop on that route, in order.

Drag a stop up or down the list to reorder it. Routific updates the route's timing and your driver's mobile app.

## Make changes on the map

Drag and drop stops on the map to move them from one route to another.

To move a group of stops, use the **lasso tool** in the top right-hand corner of the map. Draw a shape around the stops you want, then move them.

## Draw your route on the map

Want to change the direction of a route — say, so your driver finishes closer to the depot? Skip the dragging and dropping. With Draw Route, you sketch the flow you want in a few clicks and Routific re-optimizes around it.

1. Select the route on the **map** or **timeline**.

2. Click the **three dots (…)** in the top right corner of the route panel, then **Draw route**.

3. ![Route 1 details panel beside a map, with the overflow menu open; red arrows point to the three-dot menu and the Draw route option. 3. Click on the map where you want the route to start.

4. Draw in the direction you want the route to follow. Click to change direction.

5. Double-click to finish.

Your route is re-optimized to follow your drawing:
