# Using the Routific mobile app

How to navigate routes, complete stops, and stay on track

**Before you begin,** [**make sure your dispatcher has invited you**](https://help.routific.com/en/articles/15-how-drivers-can-join-dispatchers-on-routific.md) **to join his/her company on Routific.**

Your invite will arrive in your email inbox. Follow the instructions in the email to download the app and create an account.

All routes will be sent via push notification. New routes will appear under **Incomplete**.

> **Info:** Do your drivers speak another language? Routific’s mobile app is now available in multiple languages. [Learn more here](https://help.routific.com/en/articles/56-is-the-routific-mobile-app-available-in-my-language.md).

- **Completed**: Routes you’ve finished in the past live here.

- **Person icon:** Information like your email address, what company you're part of, and your preferred map for navigation.

## Preview and start a route

Tap on your assigned route – you’ll see it plotted out on the map. You can also see:

- the total number of stops

- your start and estimated end times

- and the total route distance

Click the top right corner to switch between the map view and a list of your stops.

Now, this is the fun part: when you’re ready just **tap and drag the blue arrow to start your route**!

## Allow location tracking

Your phone may ask permission for Routific to use your location. **This lets dispatchers track delivery progress in real-time.**

Select "Always" to share your location even when the app is in the background – for example, when you're using navigation. If you select "While Using," dispatchers only see your location when the Routific app is open.

Location tracking stops automatically when your route is completed.

## Navigate to your next stop!

While on your route, you can:

- Swipe through the cards to view other stops on your route.

- Tap **View details** to see order information, including any special delivery instructions, access codes, etc.

- Click on the arrow navigation icon to get driving directions to your next stop. Remember, you can set up a preferred map under your **Profile**.

## Complete a delivery

Click **View details** to see order information. Here you can:

- Mark an order **Delivered**

- Take multiple proof of delivery photos or collect a signature.

- Leave notes for your dispatcher. These notes will appear on the dispatcher's screen.

## Skip and re-attempt a delivery

Drivers can select **Failed** if the delivery was unsuccessful. However, they can also choose to **Re-attempt** the delivery later in the route. Routific will reschedule the order in the best possible location on the route, and at least 30 minutes later.

[Learn more about re-attempting a skipped delivery here.](https://help.routific.com/en/articles/43-how-drivers-can-re-attempt-a-skipped-delivery.md)

## Prioritize a specific delivery first

Dispatchers can decide if drivers can also choose to deliver out of sequence. If the dispatcher has enabled this feature, the driver may click **Go here first** to prioritize a specific delivery first, before continuing with the rest of the route.

[Learn more about delivering out of sequence here.](https://help.routific.com/en/articles/42-how-drivers-can-complete-stops-in-a-different-sequence.md)

## Delivering multiple orders to one stop

If there's more than one delivery at a stop – at an apartment or office building – you will see multiple orders within the stop.

Tap on each order to input a status – Delivered, Re-attempt, or Failed. Then hit **Complete stop** when you’re finished.

## Make sure drivers end their route

After the last delivery, the app shows drivers their final destination. This is often the depot, warehouse or shop where they started, but not always.

1. **Drive to the final destination and tap Arrived.**

1. **Slide to end route.** Drivers will see an “**All work is finished**” screen with a summary of their day. Sliding to end the route marks it complete in the driver app and for dispatchers.

2. **Look for the green confirmation.** “**Route completed. Nice work!**” means they’re done.

If a driver skips **Arrived**, the route stays in their Incomplete tab and shows as unfinished to dispatchers. To fix it, they can open the route, tap **Arrived**, then slide to end it. If the summary screen doesn’t come back up, they can tap **End** in the top right instead.

![Three route-planning app screens show an active delivery route, an end-of-day summary with a “Slide to end route” control, and a completed route. Visible: Map, List, Date, Aug 21, 2026, Stops, 12 / 12.](https://staticfiles.gleap.io/ghelparticle/5AYcmSd7Rwfmm417pNX89kZ0yJFxnOVX6SA42inKhN1yy8Ck1LrgPXhwppgWRkYleg034RUEAcT.png)

## Drivers can choose satellite view

![](https://staticfiles.gleap.io/attachments/20260806191530_2483.png)

Tap the map toggle to switch from the standard map to satellite imagery — so drivers can spot the actual driveway, loading bay, or side entrance before they pull up.

## How drivers carry out barcode scanning

If a dispatcher has [uploaded barcodes](https://help.routific.com/en/articles/55-use-barcode-scanning-to-prevent-wrong-deliveries.md), drivers will see them in the Routific mobile app.

1. Open an order in the app.

2. Tap **Scan packages**.

3. This activates the phone’s camera.

4. Scan each package for the delivery.

- When no packages have been scanned: A yellow message appears (for example, _0/1 Packages scanned_).

- When drivers have successfully scanned the right packages: A green message appears (for example, _1/1 Packages scanned_).

![](https://staticfiles.gleap.io/ghelparticle/2D4P90L2xE7iYqzVTYEqgrKxOJid3idDTb6JdqsKAxsfFRKjOdSQbD5NmrcNlvFLcbAYk8qM4ug.png)

When drivers scan packages with their mobile phone camera, Routific will validate the correct package is being scanned.

- If the driver is scanning the wrong package, a message will appear in red: **Barcode doesn’t match order**

- If the driver is scanning the right package, a message will appear in green: **Barcode found**

## FAQ:

1) Is there an extra charge for using the Routific mobile app?

Nope! It’s free with your Routific subscription.

2) I can’t see to track the live location of my driver – why?

Make sure your driver has allowed Routific to use their location. The driver will be prompted when they first open the app. If not, go to Routific’s app settings and **select "Always" to share location even when the app is in the background** – for example, when a driver is using navigation. If the driver selects "While Using," dispatchers only see a driver’s location when the Routific app is open. Location tracking stops automatically when your route is completed.

2) Can we disable the ability to let the driver **Go here first** or **Re-attempt**?

Yes! Only dispatchers or admins can change this setting by logging into Routific’s dispatcher app and going to **Company settings** > **Driver workflow**.

3) Can I undo an order’s delivery status?

Not at the moment. Once your driver marks something as **Delivered**, **Failed**, or **Re-attempt**, there isn’t an option to change that status. Please leave a comment on our [Routific Roadmap](https://routific.com/product-updates) if this is important to you.

4) Does the Routific mobile app work without a connection to the Internet?

We understand some drivers may be operating in rural areas with limited connectivity to the Internet. You only need to make sure the driver opens the route _with_ a connection. The route will be saved on the driver’s device and the driver will be able to interact with that route without Internet. Once the driver’s phone reconnects to a network, all his progress and interactions will be synced.
